Special Student Guidelines:

  • Maximum Credits: Special Students can enroll in a maximum of 12 credits.
  • No Specific Degree Obligations: You are not obligated to follow specific degree requirements.
  • Path to Degree Program: Special Students may later apply to a degree program after completing the admission process and any in-progress coursework. Review program requirements on the 'Academics' page for more information.

The Understanding Prayer course equips students with a comprehensive, biblically grounded understanding of prayer as a vital component of the believer’s life and the work of the Church. Through in-depth study, students will explore the foundation, purpose, and power of prayer, including intercession, communion, and the role of the Holy Spirit.

This course emphasizes that prayer is more than a religious activity—it is communication with God that shapes priorities, strengthens faith, and invites God’s will to be manifested in the earth. Students will examine prayer through both Old and New Testament perspectives, including the prayer life of Jesus and the Apostle Paul, while gaining insight into topics such as praying in faith, spiritual authority, and the believer’s responsibility in advancing God’s purposes.

By the end of this course, students will be equipped to develop a consistent and effective prayer life, understand the importance of standing in the gap for others, and confidently apply biblical principles of prayer in both personal devotion and ministry settings.
