Graduation Information and Requirements

Annual Commencement:

  • An annual commencement is held each June in Waycross, Georgia.
  • Students are advised to check the event calendar for commencement dates and Graduation Application deadlines.
  • It is essential for students to officially declare their intentions to graduate by completing the Graduation Application on or before the specified deadline.

Graduation Requirements:

  1. Academic Achievement and Christian Character:

    • Meet all program requirements, including GPA, specific courses for the major or concentration, and required program hours.
    • Demonstrate Christian character and doctrinal integrity.

  2. Tuition and Fees Paid in Full:

    • Ensure that all outstanding tuition and fees are paid in full at least 45 days before the graduation date.

  3. Graduation Application and Fees:

    • Submit the Graduation Application and graduation fee by the posted deadline.
    • A $125.00 fee is required for undergraduate and graduate VLBI students, and $75 for certificate and diploma graduates, even if not attending the commencement ceremony.
    • Single certificate and NACC graduates planning to attend commencement must submit a $50 graduation fee.
    • The graduation fee is non-refundable.

Graduation with Honors (Bachelor's Degree Only):

  • Honors are conferred based on the cumulative grade point average at the undergraduate level.
  • Summa cum laude: 3.90 – 4.00
  • Magna cum laude: 3.70 – 3.89
  • Cum laude: 3.50 – 3.69

Note:

  • Students are responsible for fulfilling all program requirements before commencement.
  • Even if not attending the ceremony, students must officially declare their intention to graduate by completing the Graduation Application.
  • The Graduation Application is crucial for listing students as "graduates" on their academic record.
