Statement of Beliefs

What We Believe

1. The Triune God

We believe in one living and true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, the Sustainer of all life, and the Sovereign Ruler over all.

2. God the Father

We believe in God the Father—an infinite, personal Spirit—perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He is mercifully involved in the affairs of humanity, hears and answers prayer, and saves all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ.

3. Jesus Christ the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We affirm His sinless life, miracles, teachings, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven, and continual intercession for His people. We believe in His personal, visible return to earth. Jesus is fully God and fully man—one with the Father.

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all believers for godly living and ministry. The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer as a Helper, Teacher, and Guide.

5. The Word of God

We believe the Bible—both Old and New Testaments—is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and practice and fully sufficient for all matters of life and godliness.

6. Spiritual Gifts and Love

We believe that spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit for the edification of the Church. These gifts are to be exercised in love and humility. We affirm that love is greater than the most extraordinary gifts, and without love, their exercise is meaningless.

7. God’s Sovereignty and Human Responsibility

We adhere to the biblical balance of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility. We reject theological systems that go beyond the clear teaching of Scripture and cause division in the Body of Christ. We affirm the totality of God’s Word.

8. Marriage and Sexuality

We believe marriage is ordained by God as a sacred covenant joining one natural-born man and one natural-born woman in a single, exclusive union. Sexual intimacy is to be reserved for the marriage relationship. Any sexual activity outside this covenant is contrary to Scripture and God’s design.

9. Salvation and Restoration

We believe all people are separated from God by sin and in need of salvation. Redemption and forgiveness are available to all by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. When a person repents and accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, they are born again, forgiven, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and adopted as a child of God. God offers redemption and restoration to all who genuinely turn from sin and seek His mercy through Christ.

10. Compassion and Human Dignity

We believe that every person is created in the image of God and should be treated with love, compassion, kindness, respect, and dignity. Harassment, hate, or hostility toward others is inconsistent with Scripture and contrary to the heart of Christ.

11. The Church

We believe the local church is a community of baptized believers under the lordship of Jesus Christ. The Church exists to fulfill the Great Commission—making disciples, teaching the Word, and administering the ordinances of believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper. It functions through the spiritual gifts of each member, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

12. The Return of Christ and Eternity

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for all believers. This will be followed by a period of great tribulation, then Christ’s return to establish His millennial kingdom. Ultimately, the unsaved will face eternal separation from God, while the saved will dwell forever in the presence of the Lord.
