Meet Dr. Renae Sellers

Educator | Counselor | Coach | Leader | Author | Empowerment Advocate

Dr. Renae Sellers is a dynamic and purpose-driven leader whose life’s work is rooted in faith, education, and the empowerment of others. Her journey began with a passion for helping people heal, grow, and lead, which has shaped every chapter of her personal, professional, and ministry life.

Dr. Sellers holds an impressive academic foundation in both psychology and theology. She earned her Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology with a specialization in Christian Counseling from Liberty University, followed by a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University’s Baptist Theological Seminary. Her theological training continued with a Doctor of Theology from the Practical Christianity Institute of Evangelism, and she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Christian Education through the Christian Bible Institute and Seminary.

In 2017, alongside her husband Pastor Samuel Sellers and their church family, Dr. Sellers co-founded Victorious Living Bible Institute (VLBI), a non-denominational Bible college dedicated to equipping believers for Kingdom service. As President, she has overseen the growth of VLBI into a globally impactful institution with campuses and students around the world.

Dr. Sellers is also the founder of Victorious Women Empowerment International, an outreach committed to equipping and uplifting women, and Always Sisters Mentoring, a mentoring initiative designed to guide girls ages 8–18. She is also co-founder of Mercy Seat International, a global ministry based in Kitale, Kenya. In addition to her ministry and educational endeavors, she is the owner of Victorious Living Properties, LLC, a real estate investment company.

A multi-certified professional, Dr. Sellers is a Board-Certified Christian Counselor and Life Coach with the National Association of Christian Counselors. She also holds certification as a Certified Anger Management Specialist-I (CAMS-I) and is a trained SYMBIS Facilitator, guiding couples through premarital and marriage enrichment. Her background includes experience as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and work in addiction recovery and behavioral health for youth and families.

As a community leader, Dr. Sellers serves as a Chaplain for the Satilla Advocacy Rape Crisis and Child Advocacy Center and holds board memberships with The Upper Room Outreach Ministries, Satilla Advocacy Rape Crisis Center, and Woman at the Well Transition Center. She has also served as a Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Provider and Addiction Group Facilitator, roles that reflect her heart for emotional and spiritual wholeness.

Her leadership has earned her numerous honors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Tami Regina Carter Foundation, the Community Champion Award from Woman at the Well Transition Center (2024), and the Hometown Hero – Faith Community Leader Award from Step Up Ware’s Black History Month Celebration (2022). She was also honored as a Keynote Speaker at the 2017 Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Celebration in Waycross, GA, and has been consistently recognized for her community service and excellence in ministry.

As an author, Dr. Sellers has written 'Empower Her Victory Devotional Journal™' and 'Strength for My Sister: Daily Nuggets to Uplift and Inspire a Sister of Faith,' both available on Amazon.

Beyond her professional and public service roles, Dr. Renae Sellers is a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She remains actively engaged in her local church, The Upper Room Outreach Ministries, where she ministers as an elder and worship leader.

Her life’s mission is clear: to teach, train, and transform. Dr. Sellers is committed to helping individuals live victoriously in every area of life, equipping them to walk boldly in purpose and fulfill their God-given potential. Through her leadership, mentorship, and unwavering faith, she continues to impact lives across the globe.
