Originally from Scotland Neck, North Carolina, Pastor Jeffrey Whitaker has had a diverse journey that includes military service and a commitment to faith leadership.

Military Service:

• Enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduating high school in 1978.
• Served his country for 9 years, traveling the world before receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Professional Career:

• Briefly employed by the Department of Corrections.
• Later took a job with Capital Insurance.

Faith Leadership:

• Acknowledged the call of God in 1993.
• In 1996, accepted a position at Bethel Baptist Church in Miami, FL, serving as an Associate Pastor in the Christian Education Department, Director of Operations, and the Bishops' adjutant.

The Life Church:

• In 2004, became the Senior Pastor/Teacher of Zoe-The Life Church, a place known as "Where God meets you where you are."
• A student of the word of God, Pastor Jeffrey is committed to teaching God's people with simplicity.
• Known for his great faith, integrity, and unconditional love and compassion for God's people.

Education:

• Attended Jacksonville Theological Seminary.
• Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Studies.
• Earned a Master of Arts Degree in Administration.
• Achieved a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) in Organizational Learning and Leadership with a Specialization in Human Resource Development from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL.

Personal Life:

• Enjoys playing golf, attending sporting events, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
• Married to his wife Michelle for 40 years, they have four children and four grandchildren.
