Board Certified Pastoral Counselor

Board Certified Pastoral Counselor - Online/Self-Paced

The Pastoral Counseling Certification Program is designed for individuals seeking an online, self-paced study to enhance their counseling skills. While an earned undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is the typical requirement, we recognize the value of pastoral ministry experience. Individuals with 10 to 15 years of pastoral ministry experience or those who have received some college credit, along with special training or experience in the counseling field, are also eligible to apply.

This program offers a pathway for participants to earn certification in Pastoral Counseling. Notably, credits earned through this program can be applied toward an undergraduate degree in Christian Counseling at the VLBI affiliate, Christian Bible Institute & Seminary. This provides an opportunity for those desiring further study in the field to build on their certification and deepen their understanding of Christian counseling principles.

Experience, along with this specialized certification, ensures a well-rounded foundation for individuals engaged in or aspiring to pastoral counseling roles. The online, self-paced format allows flexibility, enabling participants to complete the program conveniently while accommodating their existing commitments.
