March Student Spotlight
We are honored to celebrate Dr. Jason Dent, a distinguished graduate of Victorious Living Bible Institute and a valued VLBI Ambassador.
Dr. Dent is a graduate of both the Board Certified Christian Counselor Program and Loss and Grief Counseling Program at VLBI. He continues to exemplify what it means to take what you’ve learned and make a meaningful, lasting impact.
Recently, while in the hospital as a long-stay transplant patient, Dr. Dent initiated something truly powerful. From his own experience, he recognized the need for connection among patients facing extended hospital stays.
Out of that vision, the “You Are Not Alone” Fellowship Program was born.
This initiative began as small Friday evening gatherings focused on:
- Companionship
- Conversation
- Activities that bring a sense of normalcy and encouragement
What started with just a few patients has already made a significant impact. Through simple moments like movie nights and game nights, patients are experiencing connection, encouragement, and renewed hope in a challenging season.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and the program continues to grow with the support of hospital staff and ongoing efforts to expand safely and sustainably.
Dr. Dent’s initiative is a powerful example of:
- Turning personal experience into purpose
- Bringing light into difficult spaces
- Living out the call to serve others
We are incredibly proud of Dr. Dent and the difference he is making. This is what Kingdom impact looks like.
